Epiphany
I had a private zoom reading for the current draft of Familial Comforts last night. I wrote some notes for when I start working on the second draft. There is one scene where the fourth wall is broken and the audience is fully engaged for about 3 minutes. Then the fourth wall ends. I don’t want to give anything away but that scene woke me up and gave me what I needed when I begin this second draft. I need to not look at it for a week but when I get back to it, the way I’m about to deconstruct this play is beyond! Stay with me or not.
